Gilmour Point Pavilion

When the township decided it was s time to build a washroom facility at Gilmour Pont Beach Ubcon won the contract to build it. The building was started in late September to avoid construction impact on the people using the beach space. The design for the building was solid poured architectural walls. For the exposed architectural concrete walls all electrical and mechanical works had to be completed prior to concrete placement. Once the walls were poured the wood framing could begin. The entire roof system was hand framed providing appealing roof lines and cathedral ceilings within. The interior ceilings saw clear cedar tongue and groove wood applied in the common area and steel-clad ceilings within the washrooms. A new well and septic system were also included to service the building. The new facility is a great addition to a wonderful beach.
